Liberal Decontamination

I have the pleasure to be friends with a gentleman who is intellegent, well reasoned, articulate, even tempered and DEAD WRONG. He is an Annapolis graduate, flew FA-18's in the Gulf of Sidra off of Libya during our unpleasantness with Qadhafi(sp) during the Reagan years and currently flies for one of the major airlines. Only one problem...he is as liberal as the day is long.
Thinks Tedy Kennedy and Hillary Clinton are the smartest, most able people in government today.
Is a vocal proponent of 'gun control'.
Believes that the Constitution is a 'living document', open to interpretation and change outside of the amendment process.
Believes that 2A is 'anachronistic' and only has meaning in todays world as regards hunting.
Thinks Sen. Edwards will be our next president.

There is one positive, however. He is open to reason, likes to read and is eager for discussion.

Please provide info or web sites that I can direct him to to assist in bringing him to the light. He is my 'anti' project for this year. I want him singing the praises of William F. Buckley by the 4th of July. Right now he thinks that Bill Clinton was our greatest president. Much work to do.

That is a better condition than any specific political ideology. I don't know about Bill Buckley, but if you want to change his mind about guns the best thing to do is take him shooting with a bunch of responsible pro-RKBA friends. Afterwards ask him if he's willing to send the police out to disarm, imprison or even kill those people just for the crime of owning a gun.
