My tactical 10/22 (sort of)

Well it's confirmed, I've got too much time on my hands...

I was totally bored with my 10/22 and totally broke from mounting a scope on my M1A so I built this out of stuff that I had lying around.

I took an old Ramline folding stock and pinned it permanantly open with a steel pin. I then mounted up a 1-4 power scope that I had lying around and put an old sling and some mounts on it and Voila! There Ya go. I also connected two mags togather to make them into a quick flip setup.

The stock was no good as a folder due to federal law unless I fixed it to the open position permanantly, so what the heck. In California rimfires are exempt from the assault weapons BS as long as you don't violate federal law, thus the pistol grip is ok.

The great thing is that I can put the original stock back on it in about 5 minutes if I wanted. I'm not taking the whole project too seriously but i think it looks kinda cool and didn't really cost me anything.

Tell me what you think, am I an aspiring mall Ninja?:neener: :neener: :neener: --Oneshot

Is that a high capacity magazine?

Nope, 2 10 rounders connected back to back. Shoot 10, remove mag, flip over and shoot another 10. The real reasoning behind it is that i have heck of a time getting the single mags out of the gun. There's no easy way to grab them, gotta dig them out with your fingers.

However, that is a high cap toaster behind the Ruger.

An evil high cap mag would be illegal in California:evil:

What do you mean evil high cap mag in the PRK would be illegal? Remember all of those 30 round 10/22 mags you bought back in 1985? I know you have them around the house somewhere. It might take you a while to find them, but look hard enough and you will dig them up. I find my memory comes back best after trips out of state. I get back and then remember where I put them.

Where did you get it?

Is it available in any other colors?

How much was it?

Is it all metal?

and, of course, how many slices will it toast at one time?

That is one cool toaster! :neener:

Oh, and a rockin gun too.

BEC Rubber Armored 3-9 scope.
The CLAW sling.
Vortex flash suppressor.
Choate heat shield (filed a bit for clearance).
Harris bipod.

All these 10/22 posts makes me want to pull mine out of the safe.
It's just a plain old K10/22T with Weaver v24. I dropped it into a nice Fajen stock. The 10/22 has kind of taken the back seat to the Garand this past Summer/Fall.

mine has a 18" Adams & Bennett fluted barrel.

Hogue overmolded stock
BSA contender 3x12x50 scope
volquartsen target hammer and sear
volquartsen extended mag release
volquartsen exact edge extractor
power custom titanium firing pin

as far as how it shoots off the bench, that all depends on how much caffeine I've had that day. ;)

*tear* that reminds me of my 10/22 I sold a couple weeks ago :banghead: looked exactly like that without the bipod and it had a 3x9 leupold on it though :D The houge stock and barrell kits are cheap (about $110) but man they help. Also if your looking to soup up a 10/22 with a tight budget I would recommend having the houge stock and barrell a factory bedding kit made specially for the 10/22 and one of the trigger kits off ebay you find for about $15. all of those on mine helped a lot. The trigger kit made the trigger a little lighter and really crisp. But the thing i really liked about it is it made the bolt operate better so i had less jams and it even came with an extended mag release! all that would average about $170 to make an awesome 10/22 ;)
