Recently finished The Everlasting Stream: A True Story of Rabbits, Guns, Friends and Family, Walt Harrington's account of lessons in hunting and life gathered from his father-in-law and that man's friends. The book is a gentle but honest reflection on fathers and sons, ritual, manliness, and the respect that builds between very different people: the white, urban professional and the black, untutored country folk who invite him to join them. A nice read.
