I have just gotten a sako l61r that was in a truck fire, the stock was gone. I got it a year or after fire during which time it sat out side in the rain and weather. To remove rust I used a battery charger and a bucket of water with baking sota. I was looking to get some wisdom on the must change parts and the if in good shape can use. Also can I change cal. if so which one's would that be? How much can I do myself and how much money do think I will spend HI and Low amounts?

If I understand correctly the rifle was in a fire? Vehicle fires can be extremely hot. The steel could have been annealed or even quenched (when the fire was extinguished) making it brittle, and could be dangerous to shoot as is. I would highly recommend taking it to a certified gunsmith to have it checked out before trying to do anything with it.
