Hello I didn't find this answer in USPSA's Handbook, so I figured you guys are the next step!
Can I shoot in USPSA's Limited Class w/ skateboard grip taped grips?
Thanks so much for your time! :)

Welcome! Yes you can. I'm interested to see some images from those who have cut their own patterns rather than buy the pre-cut grip tape. I shoot a G-17 in production, but have been contemplating a limited rig as well. I believe limited rules allow for grip modifications (tape/stippling) that modify more surface than what production rules allow. (I'm recalling from memory, not literature since I only see a drawing for what production allows in the USPSA handbook). Take Care-

I shoot a G35 in limited and pretty much coverd the grips completly with skate board deck tape, I really like it and for five bucks I got enough grip tape to cover prob a dozen grips.
I also coverd the base plate of my mags but I ain't sure its leagle, it seems to help with reloads when my hands are all sweaty.

I don't have any photos of my glocks but they look similar to these.

I don't know anything about USPSA, but if they let you put all those other space-age, Buck Rogers thingies on there, then I don't see how they could complain about a little bit of tape!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that those other guns aren't in the Limited Class.

Yes, you can.
They sell 2" X ##' rolls at Home Depot/Lowes/local hardwares etc as walkway, ladder or non-skid tape. A roll will last a long time. Cut your own patterns carefully and they last if you don't get too much gun-cleaner on them

Of course you can. 3M Safewalk is good stuff.
Heck, you can even use grip tape in Production. See the Appendices of the rule book.

Actually the bottom pic is a Limited class pistol. The top pic is Open. Limited does not allow optics, comps, mags over 140mm and mandates .40 cal to make major.

on a limited division gun you can put grip tape wherever you want. have seen some shooters put it on the slide for easier manipulation.
