Too tight?

I've been searching the local gun and pawn shops for a used redhawk .44. I came across one gun that had an incredibly tight lock up. My first thought was "bank vault". :p

So I whip out the feeler gauges, much to the surprise of the gun hand behind the counter, and measure the bore cylinder gap. I start out a .005, nope, .004, nope, .003 nope. 0025 bingo. Wow. No cylinder rotation at all either.

So anyways, then I get to thinking that this gun may gum up from a session of big .44 rounds. Do you think .0025 is too tight?

there's no such thing as a gun that's too tight...as long as everything is plumb...you can always remove material
