No one knows yet. But SIGARMS has been the most MA-friendly gun manufacturer for a few years now, so there's ample reason for hope. In any event, I'm sure it'll be several months to a year between the release of the gun and the first sales in MA. I suspect that they'll have to screw up the trigger pull and cut a loaded chamber indicator into the thing.

I expect it may be something like my SW1911, meaning the "features" needed so that it can get approved here. Given the business SIG does here in MA, I expect they will jump through the hoops.

Further, the MA "features" are now common with several other jurisdictions. It is likely only a matter of when, not if -- but there will be some required to get the lab testing done, get it through the advisory board (which meets 2x/yr, I think?), so don't hold your breath.

The MA State Police use the made-in-NH SIG, so it may go through a little faster.
The NH State Police? They use the made-in-MA Smith & Wesson.
S&W also has a plant in ME, don't know what the ME SP use, though.

Unfortunatly i doubt this would be the case. Many police depts. in MA use Glocks -- which are illegal in MA.

I believe the S&W plant here in maine is primarily for rimfires and some of thier accessories. (My cuffs are from that plant) I'm not 100% sure what the ME state police are now using but I believe they once used Berettas - hence the ME State Police comm. ed beretta mde a few yrs ago. I do know a few troopers have qualified using HK USPs.

I'd hate to see what the retail price would be on this...:uhoh: BTW, all the cops I've spoke to carry Sigs. I haven't even met anyone that uses a Glock -- but found one guy that uses a S&W....:scrutiny:
New Glocks aren't allowed in MA but used Glocks are -- the tricky part is finding a decent one given our limitations.
