He appears to be carrying two compensated .45s.

Looks like it could be pretty good, really bad, or anywhere in between.

I thought the title referred to to some kind of mobile unit for corporal punishment, perhaps to travel between correctional institutions.

Wonder why they call 'em "trailers."

Thanks for the link. I will definitely see this -- it was filmed in downtown Tampa, right in front of my offices and in other parts of the Tampa Bay area. I recognize a lot of the places from the trailer. Cool.

Is there any way to save those things to your hard drive?

On the right side of the window, there is a triangle, click on this, and a menu will pop up. Scroll down to where it says Save as Quicktime Movie...

The weird thing here is that...

Rebecca Romijn-Stamos plays a character named "Joan", in The Punisher. But she also plays "Mystique" in X-Men. How are they going to resolve this? Supposed to be one Marvel Universe. :D

He's shooting a pair of blued custom 1911s with stainless magwells, compensators and small parts. Kinda funky looking guns, but if you play the trailer you see that they actually eject brass; they aren't prop guns with flames added later. And it looks like his finger is off the trigger when he isn't shooting (it is clear in one scene at least).

Acetylene torch fu. Pipe to the head fu. Flying Pontiac GTO. Paper cutter used as a sword fu. Of course, multiple 1911 fu. Bomb fu.

Might be good, cheesey action fun.

One of the bad guys in the beginning is using a Steyr TMP, too.

Looks cheesy, but revenge is always a good plotline. :D

Wonder why they call 'em "trailers."

Because originally, the 'coming attractions' were shown after the movie (this was way back before TV). When credits started getting longer and longer, they moved them to before the main attraction. The name stuck, and 'trailers' are still 'trailers' even when shown on media outside the cinema.

Can you guess what my university dissertation is gonna be on? :D

He did say it...

This is not revenge.
This is punishment.

Okay, cheesy or not I gotta see this.
It has to be better than the last Punisher movie.
I have seen all of the Marvel movie adaptations, I wear my 'I survived watching The Hulk movie and didn't claw my eyes out to make it stop' t-shirt to work sometimes.:D

For you knife knuts out there, there are two Striders on the table with all his toys.

They are a couple of the double-edged models.

Didn't they already do The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren a few years back?

Yeah, sure did,but even if this one sucks,it'll still be heads above Dolph's movie.

i have the lundgren movie on dvd i watched the movie originally the day it came out on video. Frank Castle is my favorite comic book hero ever. Why?

Because he could be almost anyone. no super powers. no mutations. no sci fi. just a really pissed off mofo who knows how to use guns.

Hey, I thought Dolf did a decent job as Punisher; who's the new one played by? Some Ben Aflack type?:uhoh:

The problem with the original movie is all the bad acting, and crappy story line. Dolph definetly looked the part as it was originally drawn in the comic books, though. But man he just can't act! This one can't be as bad as the first movie, no matter what. Plus you know the effects will be better. But I still might just wait for it to be out on dvd before I see it.

do you know who The Punisher is????

he's THE gun guy's super hero. He punishes bad guys usually with gun shots. Hell i'm building a postban semi auto clone of the suppressed gau-5 lundgren used in the original punisher movie! The punisher is ALL about guns and killing bad guys. If there is ANY movie that we can discuss on this forum its The Punisher!

First, I'm glad they didn't let the storyline get in the way of why we would go see the movie! :D

My once in a while daydream / crazy thought a la Michael Douglas "Falling Down" is.. Given someone with enough vengence, and maybe a very friendly gun store near by; how much damage can a person do?

Ok, the standard "arsenal" would be what? A pair of 1911's on the hip, a shotgun, a rifle, maybe a few homemade C4 bombs?
