I was trying to help uncle get his new Windows 7 box working today. We hit a snag, his cd for Sierra's reloading manual loaded okay but Infinity v 2.0 refuses to run.

That program has run fine on Windows ME and his Windows 2000 machine.

I've tried every variation of compatibility mode I could come up with.

Ideas? I'm a W7 newbee, I'm much happier on W2k.

Win 7 seems to have moved simple tasks three clicks away. I shake my head.

IF it is loaded, Right click the icon on the desktop. Click on Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab. Click the box in the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then choose a former Windows version.
Click "OK" or "Apply"
This will open the app in this mode whenever you click on it unless you change the settings again in the properties.;)
