Well, after about 3 months of reloading experience, I finally got my load and bullet combination worked up to a good point for me and just had to post :)

Tikka T3 Tactical .308
IMR 4064 43gr Sierra 168gr HPBT
CCI BR primer

Wind gusting to ~20mph but otherwise a beautiful day today.
200 yard 5 shot group averaging 2600 FPS

I don't think I can improve the load, the rest is shooter limitation :)

Dang! You almost hit that quarter. I believe you woulda got it in another couple of shots.

Keep practicing, in no time you'll be ready to start using nickels.

Good job. Now you can spend the next 40 years chasing that perfect round like the rest of us.

LOL
Seedtick, well at least I scared it good :)

Thanks guys, and I will tell you in my case trimming the cases to exact length with an LE Wilson trimmer made all the difference in the world. I had shot this same load with FL sized brass run through a case gauge and trimmed only if too long.

This time I trimmed to exact legth on every case and chamfered/deburred every one.
Kinda a pain in the ...
But, now I know why people do it.

Thanks for the fun guys!

That's some good grouping at 200yd. Especially with the wind up. IMR-4064 usually does well in med case calibers. My 22-250Rem.+6MMRem. likes it also, with usually 1 hole groups at 100yds. 760,BL-C(2),+Varget also do well in these cases, and flows easier through the measure-not the "grain cutting" that occurs with 4064. Keep up the good work!!;):):D
