Has anyone seen any numbers on the velocity out of the 2 1/8" barrel of a S&W 640 .357? Thanks:)

In .357 Magnum-

Remington 125 gr. Golden Saber: 1089 fps / 330 ft lbs

American Eagle 158 gr. JSP: 1140 fps / 456 ft lbs



In .38 Special-

Federal 125 gr. Nyclad +P JHP: 870 fps / 210 ft lbs

Federal 158 gr. Nyclad +P JHP: 771 fps / 208 ft lbs



With my practice handload-

158 gr. LSWC over 5.7 grs. of Winchester 231: 882 fps / 273 ft lbs

With a Barami Hip-Grip on it, it's my main CC gun. Hides well beneath a T-shirt.

Mine's a keeper.
Name was laser engraved by S&W years back.
Had it tuned this yr by a good smith, put a red ramp front sight on, and sent it to Robar in Phoenix to be enhanced with their Rohrguard blackening. Beautiful firearm now.
I like the holsters by Bianchi that fit the revolver exactly and have a finger break security system with a paddle. It'll be my #1 ccw.
I have no idea of the velocity, sorry; I use 38+ JHP.
