Just cleaning off the bench for some other prototype work and finished these folding saps.

Very nice work BUT I would not feel comfortable if that d ring was not forged one piece . Sometimes one gets carried away when one needs a sap in a tussle.:scrutiny:

My study of sap hit indicates rounded corners instead of sharp edged seams are desireable for leaving no cuts. Also lead shot rather than a lead "lozenge" spreads the impact over a larger area to avoid compressed fractures. It looks like you are working toward that noble goal.

Yep, I use shot, I make a full size non-articulated, my most popular item. I had a call for a folder and wanted to make a couple prior to confirming that the concept works...it does. Order filled.
