I am looking for a 2 point adjustable sling for my 870.
I am considering a Blue Force Vickers or a Viking Tactical sling.
Any help would be great.

Sounds like some kind of competition rifle sling. I never used a sling on a shotgun except to carry it. Guess if I had to hunt deer with a shotgun, maybe.

"tactical" I think means it comes in a tan and black color, is nylon, and costs twice as much as it should.

Yeah, that'd be my guess. LOL! Just looks like a sling to me. I don't think I'd pay extra for the tactical label.

I've used a simple two point carry strap in both classes and matches. No experience with the BFG or Vickers sling.

I use the Vickers adjustable 2 pts on mine, it is a good quality sling for the money.

It's got a simple quick adjust mechanism on it and you can adjust it on the fly to the length you want for various purposes, can be slung quickly on the back or you can switch shoulders. I can't stand the so called "carry strap" that many like. I do like my Viking Tactics padded slings a lot...very comfortable.

It looks a little complicated at first but once you use it a bit it grows on you. Try it before knocking it.
