My son's deer rifle has a 2X Aimpoint sight on it and I have noticed that late in the evening it is pretty much useless, you can see the dot fine but you can't see out of the sight. I need to go with a diffrent sight, Eotech maybe?

I'm curious, is there an anti-glare filter on the lens? Or can you not see out of it as the sun becomes less bright because of "bloom" on the lens - in other words the dot is too bright to allow you to see? Not trying to insult you, but the brightness can be turned down too.
However, EoTechs are great sights, if you go that route, and you won't regret getting one :D

No filter on this one, I can turn the sight off and I still can't see through it, I guess the sight is just too small, the Eotech might be the ticket for low light.
