Hi Folks,

I've been bitten by the "mouse gun" bug. I recently bought a NAA 22LR Mini, and am looking to expand my collection. At the moment, I'm interested in picking up a fun-to-shoot, decent quality .25 acp gun. Note that I'm not looking for a defensive firearm, just something for fun.

A lot of folks really like the Beretta Jetfire, and I may ultimately try and find one locally. However, I've also seen a particular gun at a local gun shops and as well as on the web that looks interesting, and was wondering if some folks had any experience with this model.

Can anyone tell me about the Galesi 503/504 pistol? I handled a blued one at a local shop once, and it looked like a neat and well built pistol. Do these little Italian guns have a reputation for being an OK quality gun?

It seems to be a rather obscure, but neat looking gun. Sort of like a cross between a Colt Vest Pocket and a Walther TPH.

Thanks.

Seems to be a typical SA design of small pistols.
Not like a TPH.
Many prefer 22lr in these small guns. Another to look at is the Beretta 21.

Prefer the Walther safety & bought a TPH, a great shooter, preferred by many agents.

The Galesi pistols were no world beaters but they are pretty well made and reasonably reliable. They are striker fired and should not be dry fired. Their streamlined look appealed to a lot of people, though I never cared for it. (Purely preference, no reflection on the guns.) You could probably do better in a .25 auto, like a Colt 1908, but you could also do a lot worse.

They also made a model for .22 Long (not Long Rifle) and that ammo is very hard to get today.

They were one of many victims of GCA 68 which, as we all know, eliminated crime in the U.S. Or at least that is what they told us it would do.

My concern would be availability of spare parts, though Gun Parts Corp. seems to have a good supply at the moment.

I've got one!

Haven't fired a LARGE number of rounds, but it has always gone bang, and is quite accurate considering the sights are pathetic.

All-in-all, a fun little beasty!
