Flat latch S&W timeline

In the last couple of years I've aquired two flat latch S&Ws; a M12-1 and a M43 (no dash). Just wondering, what years did S&W produce flat latches?

Around 1966, although there are some who say that they were using up some stock until about late 1967 or early 1968.

They started around 1950 on I and J frame revolvers of all types, and the Model 12.
