Thanks to longdayjake at rocky mtn reloading (www.rmrbullets.com (http://www.rmrbullets.com)) for the quick shipping and free samples of the 125 & 158 gr HPs. I haven't had a chance to load or shoot these, but if they work out the way I hope, it will help me standardize my components a bit and save some $$$. Right now I shoot Berry's and Rainier plated bullets in some of my 38 Spl and 357 magnums. These work fine in my 38+P snubbies and in target loads out of my 357 mag SA revolver, but I have to buy jacketed bullets for my 357 carbine and 12" 357 Contender. Because of the thicker plating, the Powerbonds should work in all these guns for target shooting and hunting practice. I'll still load "premium" HPs and SPs for hunting, but if the Powerbonds provide the required accuracy in the hunting guns I'll hopefully save some $$$ compared to using jacketed for shooting paper. I was considering standardizing on a hard cast bullet, but I do a lot of my shooting indoors at a range with barely adequate ventilation, and I wasn't looking forward to shooting lead bullets there.

Is there a question in there somewhere or is this just a plug thread?

There are no questions in my thread. Yes, I was plugging the service I've gotten from rmrbullets and expressing my satisfaction that there is finally a plated bullet that is cheaper than jacketed, cleaner than cast and that isn't limited to non-magnum handgun velocities. :)

I appreciate hearing about compainies that offer good products at competitive prices...

Thanks for posting the link... I added it to my favorites and will look them up the next time I'm buying...

Prices look good.... especially when you consider they include freight.
