I was reading about the Forester FL die (in the Midway catalog). It said that the FL die could be used to resize the neck only by backing out the die. I know this subject has been discussed before and would like to know if there is something special about Forster FL dies that will perform neck sizing better than other FL dies?

I'm no expert, but I believe all FL dies will do this by backing them out a bit. In fact, the instruction manual for me Redding dies recommends this. Basically, back the die until the brass just fits a bit tight. Won't work for semi-autos, or for cartridges which may be fired in more than one gun.
Basically fits the brass to your chamber, if I understand it properly.
