My question is about the log-in.

I always check the remember me box, but the only thing it remembers is my forum name.

If I leave to go to another site and come back, I click on 'name' and "1SOW" does come up, but I still have to type my password and recheck the remember me box.

I'm in several forums and THR is the only one I have to retype my password to enter even on the same day, so my computer seems to allow the cookies needed on other forums, but not THR. ON other forums I don't have to retype anything for about a week or until I delete all the cookies.

Any suggestions???.--be nice!

That sounds like a browser issue, not anything from THR. Check to be sure you are specifically allowing a cookie from thehighroad.org, and that you don't have multiple THR cookies.

The "Remember me" function has nothing to do with automatically filling in either your user name or your password. Those functions come from your browser, and need to be turned on in it (usually in the tools section). "Remember me" will automatically log you in on your next visit without needing a user name or password at all, but that is true only if you haven't logged out when you leave, and you are allowing a cookie as mentioned above. If you press the "Log Out" button, the "Remember me" function is canceled, and you will have to login again on your next visit. That's true whether you are gone for a week or a minute.

Thanks Mal H, but no joy.

I searched the cookies/temp internet files and found all the other forums' cookies/files but NO THR/the high road cookies or files.

I did put thr in the trusted zone, so maybe when I log off and back on it'll work.

The other forums are NOT in the trusted zone and they work.

If it was gun, I could fix it! Maybe I should USE the gun to fix it!

Well, I tried all I know to do; but still have to log in.

I'll survive it. THR is worth the 'extra effort.
