Who makes one? I thought Ruger made a revolver but couldn't find it on their web site.

The ruger Single six can be had with a conversion of .22 LR and mag.

I think S&W and Taurus both still offer DA 22MAg revolvers as well. I own the Single Six with the conversion Cylinder and it's a great revolver if you can live with a single action. As for Autoloaders, the AMT was the last one I remember in a 22MAG. I don't know if anyone currently manufactures one..... Oh Yeah, there's the NAA Black Widow too.

If your not looking to break the bank Heritage offers a 22lr/22mag SAA style revolver. I love mine and it makes every trip to the range with me.

+1 to Heritage. I just shot mine today for a while! I love it!
It's a little tack driver......
The price is very reasonable (around $300.00) but I think the quality FAR exceeds the price. It cleans easily and is very fun to shoot.

Heritage also makes cheap ones also like the rough rider. Better to avoid those. You are better off throwing the revolver at the target in trying to hit it. NAA and Bond Arms make a decent derringer of varying barrel lengths as well as several others.

You want a pistol or revolver? The current High Standard entity lists a 6" AMT SS Auto Mag II at $695.00. Don't think I'd spend that much though. AMT pistols weren't great when they were sold by AMT. $39.50 for a mag too.

Sunray's question is relevant.
The thread title references a pistol (= semi-auto), but most of what's been discussed so far are revolvers.
I'm a revolver guy, but considering one of these (http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=487481), to be released in 2010.

"...I'm a revolver guy..." Hi. If I was going to screw around with a .22 Mag handgun, it'd be a revolver too. Wouldn't be a Kel-Tec though. Ammo's too expensive anyway.

Revolvers rule.
My interest in the KT is it's light weight because
I'm also a ultralight backpacker that pays attention to ounces.
For other uses, I'd take a single six.

I know I shouldn't buy one, but if it actually works as they say I will. Sounds like too much fun to pass up

Very nice revolver for .22.
But .22 mag is a different beast.

The Kel-Tec PMR-30 is the newest verison of the Grendel P-30.
With a MSRP of $450, the Kel-Tec would be an interesting range gun.

I have the Taurus 8 shot .22 mag UL revolver. Have fired a few hundred rounds through it with no problems once I realized I had to use a lower velocity round. The light weight frame and cylinder heat up and expand quickly making it difficult to eject the brass. And don't even think about using anything but brass casings. I fired some CCI 2200fps rnds from it and had to use a punch to empty the cylinder. Nice little lite weight gun and fun to shoot. But I would reccomend not going with the aluminum alloy frame. I think you'd be better off with steel in the long run.

Everyone and their dog makes a .22 Magnum revolver, but there's only one semi-auto currently made:

Nope. Only Taurus, and Charter make DA .22mag revolvers (maybe S&W), and Taurus is the only one with a barrel length of more than 3"
Ruger and NAA make SA .22mag revolvers. Not much of a choice.

Heritage Arms SA. EAA Bounty Hunter SA. US Firearms SA. Cimarron Arms SA..Taylor's and Freedom Arms will build one on special order. S&W does make one (the 351PD) DA. Dan Wessons are still out there. Add the four on your list and that's 12 different revolver manufacturer's with 11 of them still making the model.

Fine and dandy. I don't want a SA, and I want something with a longer than 3" barrel. I can't afford $700 for a plinker, so no S&W. That leaves me with Taurus. Not much of a selection....
