Today, I took possession of two .22 rifles. Both seem to have a little mileage on them but seem to be 85-90%
metal and wood.

First is a Springfield Model 187, made by Savage Arms of Westfield, Mass. 22 H.S. Short, Long or L.R. as auto.

The second is a Remington Model 550-1,
22 Short, Long or Long Rifle. The Remington has a scope rail installed in top of the reciever.

Both of these are older rifles that would make squirrels run in every direction and I am happy to have them.
I will, however, trade one or both for a new Ruger 10/22. Can any of you in the brain trust out there give me some info. on the value of each of these as
well as advice for making a good deal on a Ruger. Thanks......jimbo

I would suggest getting a price range on them at www.gunsamerica.com and www.gunbroker.com and if you can't get a good figure there then take them to a gun show and see what you can do.

with a ruger 10/22 being in the 149.00 range you might want to keep them and pay cash for the ruger....i have several 22's they are great to keep around
