Saw these on e-bay. Are these serialized frames being sold as parts without the required FFL transfer?

I tried to notify seller and buyer to no avail. At this point my main concern would be that e-bay gets sick of this and will stop auctioning gun parts

Well the good news is, I know for a fact the second one (Ruger New Model XR3-RED grip frame) is legit. The serial number is on the primary (cylinder) frame and the grip frames are transferrable no-paperwork anywhere in the US. About a dozen makers sell aftermarket grip frames for New Model Rugers, Brownell's ships 'em all the time, and there's no "second serial number" on them either.

The second may or may not be in the same boat - I strongly suspect it's the same situation though.

But since you're definately in the wrong on the Ruger, ignoring you was proper.

Thanks Jim. I merely notified as a courtesy just in case. Appreciate the clarification.

They're O.K. Neither is a "frame or receiver" as defined by the ATF&E.
