Just picked up an 870P, wood and park. finish today. Really nice compared to the express version. Anyway, I was thinking of upgrading it in the future with the Wilson/SGT package they offer. Anyone ever send one in, did you like it?
- got the 870 from one shot in Cin. OH, nice guys, they have two more @ $365 NIB. If anyone is looking.

Congrats, now go shoot the thing as is.A few cases of ammo down the road, you'll have a better idea of whether you "Need" upgrades or not.

Thanks, it's a very good piece. I've put a few rounds through an 870 or two, just wanted to add some of the bit's found on the wilson model. After some discussion and searching, it looks as though I can do it cheaper.... a lot cheaper, myself.

I'm no smith, nor do I play one on TV. But, I've worked over both of my "Serious" 870s and done work on the rest.
A smith should do things like a trigger job and a long forcing cone. But parts replacement etc, is owner's territory. Even a klutz like me can swap stocks, install a mag extension and SS, and so on. DIY and save money.

Anyone have information about One Shot? I paid a lot more than $365 for my 870p and for $365 I could have a backup for my primary HD shotgun.
Thanks...

Dave, my looking around on this topic has brought out your points on the do-it-yourself approach. The only things that gave me pause are swithching the sights ( I understand the XS are easy to do), and I had thought about coating it (but I'll just wait and see how it holds). So I was going to have it done all at once. The rest I feel OK doing, I mean if they let me work on people, how much harder can it be.....;} Fastlane, they sell on gunsamerica, type in 870 police and you should find them, if not the # is 513 233-0885, ask for Chris.
