Just realized that my range charges $12 to members. Thought it was worse. I figure I pay $10 after shipping.

Well, they charge $12.99 w/ a 2 box minimum w/ their rental guns. I'll save my $$ & either go the Walmart route or reload (time permitting).

A range I used to go to in NYC charged $15.00 a box.
These were all reloads. Not factory fresh.
I have yet to go to a local range here in FL. But I will be soon!

$14, but if you buy ammo you get a $3 discount on the range fee.

I paid $13.50 for Speer Lawman when I rented a Kimber recently. They might have had cheaper but I probably would have opted for the Lawman anyway if he had mentioned I had a choice. It was Stainless Target II and I didn't want to be shooting crap ammo through it. Wouldn't have been any kind of test for the gun.

One range charges 13.97 a box. This is quite dear in my opinion but I know the owners are not getting rich either.

$12 or $13 a box (50 rounds).
I use WWB valuepacks from walmart ($20/100 rds).

I always bring my own.
Don't begrude your local range for charging you more if you buy from them. They have to buy it, warehouse it, ay insurance, rent, utilities and salaries before they can make a profit. They don't have the same scale as Walmart or the mail-orders.

One range is $16 a box. Reloads are cheap, but they never have any available when I used to need it. So I never bought anything from them except a 50 round box of .22LR for $2.25 back when I began my addiction. And they also required you leave the brass from their ammo there. Obviously, I don't buy range ammo at the range. Or my trips would be quite short.

I think they sell reloads for a couple bucks less, not sure, never bought their reloads in .45.
I'm OK with buying most of my ammo elsewhere. The money I save likely comes back to them in the purchase of guns, accesories and range time.

Not at all. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that it's pretty reasonable.

Lets just say that it's cheaper for me to buy my ammo at Wallyworld and bring it with me to the range!!
My policy is: any range that will not let me do that will not get my business!! :D

$12.99 a box for orange box "police" reloads. For the last year I have been reloading my own. I havn't saved any money, but I am shooting a ton more for the same cost. :)

IIRC, $12.99/box of UMC for non-members, $11.99/box for members. Like most of others here, I bring my own ammo that I usually buy on-line.

Range charges $15 for Win White Box.
My reloads cost me $5.80 / 50. Doesn't take many $9/box savings to pay off that reloader. Mine was paid off sometime in July of the year 1991.

$14 or $15, don't really remember. Recently I've been using walmart value packs. Before that I ordered S&B 10 boxes at a time (~$9/box).

The longer ones just have more length for your shootin' dollar.

I can see the magazine ad now.....
"Real-liable Reloads, where Comedy is Job 1"
By the way you need a new cartridge block, that one is so poorly made it makes your ammo look the the bullets are all seated differently. :neener:

Looks like my range takes the cake here. I am stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany. The local (on-base) rod and gun club sells .45 for $17/box of 50, .40 is $16.50 a box, and 9mm is $10 a box. All FMJ Fiocchi. Ammo Prices are terrible here. OTOH, we can get Europeon manufacture guns for sometimes significantly less than stateside. For example, USPc 9mm w/ stainless slide for $565.00, SIG SP2009 for $409.00. The good deals on pricing are made possible when the dealer buys the guns at a time when the dollar is doing well against the euro. We also get full-capacity magazines with them, the AWB better sunset next September.
