Help! I found a site that was mostly for 1911 fancy wood grips. I found the link in a member's signature. Anyway, I lost it and I want to get something from that site. It had "fine grain" in the address I think? ring a bell anyone?

The Finer Grain is Sarge's website. He does some beautiful work at good prices. He made these amboyna burl grips for my CBOB.

I've been really pleased with ebay. $40 bucks or sell and you get something really nice. lets face it, 1911 grips aren't all that complicated.

Sarge makes very nice grips.
So does Hakan Pek.

I own one set of each, and look forward to owning more of each.

My grips from Sarge (SRT1) are the bee's knees. Spalted Afzelia Xylay? Yes please.

This is his photo, but I bought these actual grips.

I was looking for 1911 grips in Zebrawood. Esmeralda listed this wood on her web site. I email her my "want list". Within a few weeks I had two pair of just what I wanted. She just does wonderful work.

Major Kong,

I thought you had somehow posted one of my pictures of my CBOB with Sarge's grips and Milt Sparks' Summer Special 2 holster.

It just turns out we both have magnificent taste in guns, grips, and holsters!
