my Bersa 380. I bought it a few months ago. We have a few safe full of rifles but I did not pay for them so I cannot own them outrightly until hubby goes ahead of me...in the meantime, we have them and use them when we need to OR want to.

Right now it is my Mossberg 590. I buy and sell guns more often than not in order to fund future purchases. I have not bought any real custom guns or anything special that I could not easily reaquire. I have also sold guns so I no longer have to stock that caliber. I am sticking with 9mm and .45 ACP from now on.

Mine is a Colt New Frontier revolver, 6" barrel & mag cylinder (22 LR/22 Mag). Picked that up in 1972 when I was 14. My Dad said I could get one if I earned it and boy I did. Raked up rocks off of new lawns in my neighborhood all summer long. Seemed like I moved 100 tons but it was worth it. Every time I went back in the woods with my friends I'd carried it (was farmlands before ....). I am now 52, the case hardened frame has alittle brown patina on it & it's been better that 30 years since I shot it, but I'll pass it on to my oldest son (now 29) and maybe I'll teach the grandchildren to shoot if my kids ever have any.

Ruger 10/22 that I bought from my Brother's buddy in 1986 or so. I have put well over 100,000 rounds through it and it still runs like a champ. The barrel is looking a bit smooth on the rifling, so it may get a second life as a Brownell's poster child.

Ithaca M-66 "Supersingle" 20 ga youth shotgun. 26" barrel, mod choke. I got it for Christmas about 1966. My first gun. Although my son has it in his possession now, I still consider it to be "my gun." He can call it his when I'm gone.

The oldest I have in my possession is a 12 ga Sears Roebuck pump gun. I guess I got it about 1977 or about then. Paid $99.00 for the gun with two barrels (choked and slug). Made by Mossberg it's the same as a Mossberg 500. Killed a few deer with that gun I have.

Cheapy Italian single shot 410 w/ 30 in barrel and full choke. 1978-ish. Although I'm thinking of having the barrel cut down and permanently loaning it to my mom since she needs something for snakes during the spring planting season when the plows kick them up.

Glock 19 since 1998. My pickup date (this was in CA which had and has a 10-day wait) was New Year's Eve of that year. A Navy Arms 1858 Remington revolver, bought (on layaway) during the summer of 1973. I was a security guard at a logging road building camp and I wanted something with a bit more presence than my first purchased firearm - an R/G-14 with an inch-and-a-half barrel.

I'd found guns before that, but Dad had always snagged and sold them whenever he was short on cigarette money.
