I have a Becker Necker on the way. I didn't really order it to use as a neck knife, just as a small fixed blade that doesn't take up much room. I was thinking of maybe adding some thin scales to mine and was wondering if anyone else has done this. Maybe some Micarta with mosaic pins. Of course that adds a lot of cost to the original knife, so, maybe some hardwood is in order.

I added these scales to the Becker Necker. Note that machine screws were used so they could be removable. An alternative would be mosaic pins or Corby rivets as you suggest. They would look more streamline but you couldn't change them out.
