Hello all, RON L here

I've been involved in the Prepardness movement for yars and I've only found a few methods that wake up 'JOE-SIX PACK", you know the neighbor that never Votes, the Neighbors that Never care what the GOV or the Satate or Companies do? First, it feels the need to do some INTELL work? You need to find out a few 'PUSH BUTTON ISSUES", that he MIGHT CARE ABOUT!

1. Does he HUNT? - If so, appeal to his Hunting and or weapons rights being destroyed or Eliminated.

2. Is he a land ownder or uniton man? Appeal to the Loss of his rights there or that his UNION and Or COMPANY or GOVERNMENT is involved with bad dealings that will PERSONALLY EFFECT HIM!

3. What Party is he affilitated with, Weather he's a DEM, REP or Iyou hagve find HOT BUTTON Items to work with?

4. Appeal to his SENCE OF FAMILY, tell him what things that will PERSONALLY EFFECT HIM and HIS in a NEGATIVE OR DISASTRIUS MANNER?

5. What Tax items woud he worry about, What would he NOT WANT TO PAY EXTRA or I ANGRY about?

6. Organize others like him in those unique are's and make the power of 1 in to the power of many?

IT'S A LOT OF WORK, IT REALLY SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE DONE, FOLKS SHOULD CARE ON THIER OWN, thats said this is a way to get it done and what has worked for me?

Cheers!

RON

With all due respect, the average Joe Six Pack will not wake up as long as his beer is cold, his utilities work, he can get Big Mac's at the drive-through, and his Flat Screen gets the games.

The point the OP is making is that it takes the one on one personal effort he's proposing to get the guy cemented to his TV off the couch. You probably won't make and activist of him, but you might just get him to complain to his buddies about the things you want him to complain about (and while these folks won't do much of anything else, they usually will complain long and loud) and THAT might get someone else moving as a form of "viral empowerment".

Ron I’m not sure I want them all to wake up; if they don’t care they’re probably not smart enough to make the right decisions.

Not necessarily true. There is something to be said for potential. Also, I don't want people to only make the "right" decisions if "right" is what I think is correct and they are agreeing because it's the only argument they have heard. I would prefer to inspire people to look into the issues and find their own "right".
