What is a comfortable OWB holster for the Sig 226. Looking for something readily available. Something that draws easy, holsters easy w/o collapsing, fits tight and is comfortable when sitting and standing.

Thanks,
John

I've had excellent results with my Fobus Roto Paddle holster. I carry a P229, so that's close enough for comparison. The molded holster is adjustable for tension, the cant can be adjusted to suit your choice of draw. The paddle is broad enough that it fits comfortably against my side without pinching or discomfort.

I also liked the price which was around $40 if I recall correctly.

If you want to spend a lot more, there are leather holsters that do the same job; they just cost more.

the Fobus Roto is very flexible in how it can be used as it's cant can be adjusted...that that adjustability also causes it to stick out further from the body

my usual range holster is the Blackhawk CQC Serpa Paddle because it's a bit faster to draw from while also having a very positive retention system.

my loaner range holster is an Uncle Mikes paddle...very basic, easy on the wallet

my CCW holster is the Comp-Tac Settable Cant Paddle, which carries very tight to the body

first you need to define how you're planning to use the holster

I use a triple K Secret Agent Belt Slide on my P226, P220 and P6. It came with my P220 when I bought it and does such a nice job that I have not replaced it. I believe they run ~$35. If you decide down the road to go IWB, blackhawk makes a reasonably priced leather IWB holster for less than $45.

You invested in a high quality gun, invest in a high quality holster for it to ride in.

Look at the Galco "Concealable" for a nice leather belt slide holster that is very comfortable.

I have a couple of Desantis Speed Scabbards, and like them pretty good. I'm not much of an OWB user, but these are comfortable, and as long as you dont lift your arms, concealable. :)
