Sometimes I like to save a thread to read again on my computer. But when I open one of the saved pages from this forum in my browser (Firefox), its all scewed up so I can't read it. This does not happen with any other web pages I save. There was a time when this was not so with THR, and I wish this would get fixed.

Please describe "all screwed up".

All of the text is crowded on the left 1/3 of the screen.

The right 2/3 of the screen is blank - no text; except for the headers at the top and bottom of the page that you can click on.

Only the first two posts are displayed. The rest of the posts on that page are misssing.

If you want, I could use PrtSc to capture what I see and save it into a wordpad document and email it to you.

No need to email it, that's a good description. I don't believe there is anything special at THR that would be causing something that weird. Sounds like a browser issue of some sort. What version of Firefox are you using, do you have any add ons, and what "skin" are you using on THR (from the selection menu at the bottom left of each screen).

I'm using Firefox version 2.0.0.20. That is the newest version that will run okay on Windows Millennium.

I don't have any Firefox add ons installed.

I'm using The High Road vBulletin 3 Style

This does not happen when I view any other saved web pages. I can view saved pages from other forums okay.

This problem first showed up around August or September, and I can view pages that I saved from THR prior to that okay.

I have no idea what's causing that behavior. Anyone else have any suggestions?

[Edit]
Let me ask how you save the pages. Do you save a link to the page, or do you save a screenshot of it? If the later, which program do you use to store it (e.g., Paint, Photoshop, etc.)?

When I save the page, I use
File
Save Page As

Ah ha! Thanks, I was able to reproduce the same behavior you described when I saved the page as "Webpage, complete". When I saved it as "Webpage, HTML only", the page looked fairly normal when viewed later. Since HTML is required for formatting the included data, that's probably the way you should be saving it.

Why the save works differently here than at other websites (I did verify that), I can't say. Maybe someone more familiar with HTML can help.

Thank you for finding a solution to this problem. I am able to view saved pages okay if I save them as
Web Page, HTML only.

I think the problem is caused by something in your style sheets code.
