Wild Pig Behavior in Winter?

I'm in Northern California, where we have wild pigs on public land... but they are a challenge to find. I've scouted some spots and seen sign. My last trip I was hunting a creek bed, with a little snow on the ground and some ice on the water. I'm figuring they aren't coming to the water to wallow when it's this cold. So what do they do in the winter? What's the best habitat to find them?

Many Thanks!

Near water. Between watering holes. In heavy brush (near water).

BION, they will still wallow in the water/mud occasionally when it is cold.
