I own a Savage 12FVSS chambered in 223 Rem. It has become necessary to replace the magazine box, please don't ask why. :o I bought a new magazine box from Savage, took the stock off the rifle, and removed the follower assembly. However, I can't figure out how to remove the old magazine aand then to install the new one. The box is held in place by steel tabs on the front and back but I can't figure out how to get it out.

Any help would be appreciated.
