I want to buy about 500, 125grain .38 special bullets that won't lead my 4" barrel if velocity is 900-1000 fps. I can get Winchester JHP's from Midway for about $27.00, shipping included. Any other recommendations, at a better price?

For another $8 you can get 1000 from
http://www.precisionbullets.com/
with a choice of 2 profiles. FP and RNFP
Haven't tried them myself but heard very good things about them.

I've used LaserCast (http://www.laser-cast.com/Laser_CastBullets.html) for a long time. $54 per 1k, shipping included. They will not lead your barrel - these are excellent bullets.

You might want to shop for LaserCast locally. My local shops are priced at $17-$20 for 500.

You would think that in NW Indiana you could find a dealer in the Yellow pages. Could save a bunch on shipping.
Which costs more to ship: a pound of lead, or a pound of feathers?

I ended up buying "Shooter's Choice" 122 gr. truncated cone pt. hard cast bullets ($15 plus tax for 500). They have blue lube. I hope they aren't smoky.
