Parents bought us a hunk-a-junk (unbeknownst to them) for Christmas and we've decided to replace it with something else.

Any suggestions? Brands? Styles?

I don't have any other info to share because I haven't ruled out anything nor do I have my heart set on something in particular. We do plan on using the safety harnesses religiously though so you don't have to worry about pounding that point. :D

Also, for those that ground hunt (blind or not), what suggestions do you have for increasing success?

Thanks.

I have started using ladder stands almost exclusively. . .Fairly comfortable, easy to get in/out of, and easy to put up.

Ladder stands are great if you have one spot where you know you'll be hunting (or you can buy multiple ladder stands). Climbers are a good option if you have mutiple areas to hunt over the season (bow seasons are typically four months long) and they allow you to easily move as the conditions may dictate. I have a Summit Cobra and it is pretty nice (light and easy to set up), but it is a bit bulky to carry. The Lone Wolf stand has some good points as well -very light and easy to set up- but not real comfortable on a long hunt.
