I'm under the impression that HK's level of quality control is such that i shouldn't have any concern about buying an HK USP .40 over the internet. I've shot many HK guns, from p7's to MK23's and have never failed to be impressed. To me it seems that if you've shot one you've shot them all. I've never hered the term "hit-or-miss" when it comes to their guns

Anyway, what do you guys think about buying a gun like an HK, Glock or other brand that has such a good reputation sight unseen?

I would think that as long as you're buying from a reputable dealer & if they can provide a few pics, you should be fine. Oh & to just in case, make sure you get a 3 day trial period so you can inspect your USP ;)
Good luck!

Buyer beware, and get the return policy with a signature BEFORE you send your hard earned cash.

it's from a reputable dealer, just not in my state.

For me, this is a big concern when buying a firearm over the internet. If it is a reputable dealer tho, you'll be okay.

I'd be comfortable buying a USP sight unseen (from a reputable dealer).

I bought my second USP sight unseen(not even any pictures) over the internet without a hitch. It was(and still is) in wonderful shape.

I have bought a Mark23 and a HK91 both sight unseen. I couldn't be happier with either of them.

FWIW, H&K has a lifetime warranty. I recently had some issues with a USP I bought used and sent it in to Pacific Blvd. Got it back within 10 days without charge, even though the warranty says "...for the original owner".

Tough to be upset about that.

Get a 3 day trial period in writing.

I saw a P7M13 at a gun show whose barrel was worn out on the top, but not on the bottom. H&K makes great guns, but their users can abuse them.
