I have a spring stuck out the top of an off brand magazine for a star pd.The plastic that the round sets on is broke. As pd mags are getting harder to find, can this be fixed or to trashcan. I have never tryed to take a mag apart, can it be done. Can you even buy that part. Thanks

I saw ammoclip.com has those 6 round 45acp Star PD magazines for $7 at their web site. Removable polymer base pad, polymer follower, nickel plated body. Check to see if they are still available.
You might also try a follower from a 1911 45acp. It might work. Might not. You'll have to try it.

Yes you can buy followers alone. MidwayUSA, Numrich, Sarco and other suppliers. Or find a beat up old 1911 magazine and give the guy 3 bucks for it.
