Is there a Serial Number to Date of Manufacture cross reference anywhere for Herters XK3 mauser action sporting rifles?
I've learned that the early actions were built in West Germany and later in Zastava. Anyone know of a Manufacture/Date reference?

I suspected as much, this action isn't even marked as to manufacturer. It is said that the early ones from W. Germany were marked but some of the Zastava built weren't. Still a nice action and will make a great 35 Whelen if this 270 barrel doesn't pan out.
