The trading wheel goies round and round...

Had to satisfy a particularly bad case of the New Gun Jones today with some horsetrading.

New addition to the stable is a Kahr P9 Covert, the P9-sized slide on a PM9-sized polymer frame. The whole gun weighs 15 ounces unloaded, which is pretty darn light for a 9mm with a 3.5" barrel.

This one will replace my P32 in the pocket gun role. I also bought it with belly band use in mind...it seems to be ideal for that purpose, being corrosion-proof.

We'll see how it shoots and functions...I'll probably have time to run a few boxes through it on Thursday. It's a promising little package, though.

I'm quite fond of my P9 Covert, and I found the AGrip (http://www.brookstactical.com/Pages/whtsagrp.html) worked quite well to help keep this small gun in my hand. Good accuracy and quality.

I carry my P9 Covert in warm weather more than any pistol I have. The A-Grip is a good idea as well, I also have them on my Glocks.

Any update on the Covert, Marko? Have you carried it much? What do/did you carry it in? What ammo have you tried and did you have trouble with any particular brand/weight?

I'd be interested in reading your comments. :)

Oh boy, if buzz_knox reads this, I'll catch a ration of crap again. :)

I ended up trading the Kahr. This was my second polymer-framed Kahr after a P40, and I won't get a third one. The grip is just too small for my big hands, that's all.

It carried and concealed very well in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. It also functioned 100% with Winchester White Box, Speer Gold Dots, and Federal 9BPLE +P+ ammo.
