Anyone got a Ruger Old Army?
I shot one many years ago and liked it, but I haven't had any recent experience with them.
I do already have a holster to fit one, so should I find a Old Army to fill it?

Very durable gun and easily the best black powder revolver ever made. You won't regret buying one.

I've got one & love it. It is my side arm for ML season. Accurate, powerful & reliable.

I've been thinking about one myself. As much as I like the Remington 1858 New Army there is no denying that the Ruger Old Army is the strongest blackpowder revolver out there. I'm thinking about it just for something a little different, and for a blackpowder wheelgun that I know is strong enough for the cartridge conversion cylinders. I do wonder one thing though, will the Vaquero grips work on the Old Army?

As others have stated the OA is the best cap and ball revolver ever made and can be shot with very light target loads for accuracy to 40 grain full charges for power and lots of smoke.

They are nice. I was looking at a used one at my local dealer for $225, but I waited and it was gone. You snooze you loose.:(
