Any body on here use one, and what is your opinion on clarity, quality, etc. Intend to hang one on a 7mm rem mag. if the reviews are any good(4x12x40) Wide Duplex--Matte Finish. Thanks

I had a 3-9x40 at one time that was a fine scope for the money.

when I compared one to a nikon prostaff the nikon was brighter and 70 bucks cheaper. The rifleman has less lens coating that a loopy vx-1. for what it's worth.

I have one on a 22 and I have no complaints about it. It holds zero and is clearer than I expected for the money. I imagine their are probably better scopes out there for the money, but don't ask me what they are I just don't keep up things like some people do.

I think I read somewhere that they had Weaver Glass in them but I'm not sure about that, the biggest complaint I have heard about them is that the adjustments don't click, not that big of a deal to me.

It also has Leupold's Lifetime warranty.

I have the exact same experience as Deepsouth. Word for word.

I have a 3x9x40 Rifleman on my Vangaurd .30-06 and I have no complaints. It's clear enough for me. One thing I haven't done is hunt in low light conditions, so I don't know how well it would work in that situation. Overall, I think it's a good scope for the money. I would definately buy another one.

The VX-I is just a few bucks more and worth it. Ebay is a good place to get them. Be patient and you will get a deal. The Rifleman is overpriced. The new Redfield has better specs, is substantially less money, is made by Leupold here in the USA, and has a lifetime transferrable warranty.

I bought three of the 3-9x50 of clearance. Really not to bad of a scope for the money. Plenty clear enough for me. They are mounted on a .300 win, .243 win, and a .260 rem. Not the best scopes that I own but sure not to bad.
