ultradot vs. standard scope on a .22

last question and then i'm spending my christmas money! :D
.22lr for target shooting up to about 75 yards...
red dot scope or a "standard" scope.. will be mostly shooting standing and occasionaly from a bench rest.
looking for specific recommendations, regarding power, etc on a standard if that is the right choice..

IMHO, get the scope with standard crosshairs. Red dot sights tend to cover too much of the center at ranges past 50yds.

the ultradot's I've been looking at have a 3 moa dot. covers 3" circle at 100 yds, and they do not magnify. You know what a scope is and how it works. magnification, very small coverage at 100yds.
