I'm still on my quest :( or :rolleyes: Today, I was introduced to the Colt XSE. Now, to ask...is the XSE a good candidate?

I saw the Colt Commander XSE and really really liked it. But I'm looking for a gun that has what I want (i.e. night sights) out of the box so I don't have to send it away, so I ruled out the XSE's for now.

Hey, how would a Colt fit into any of your themes??????:scrutiny: I'm liking the XSE because it's got everything I'm looking for except for the sights (the one w/ the right sights isn't approved for CA :rolleyes: )

They are really nice, they have better parts in them than most other 1911's, and they're legal in CA. The next Commander I get will be an XSE, unless I am dumb lucky enough to find an XS.

And as for adding night sights, you folks can drive to King's in Glendale, which is a legendary 1911 house of worship.

I had my P16 worked on at King's and wasn't too happy w/ the work :( Besides, I've found other smiths closer to me.
