I've heard nothing, but great reviews on this shotgun. Has everyone heard the same? Anyone get to swing this bad boy and pull the trigger?

I went to a skeet shoot at a buddy's house and a guy there had one. I will say it felt nice, looked good, and everything else. Everyone there agreed it was the "nicest" shotgun there but it couldn't run the low powered skeet loads at all. The owner didn't make much of it so I guess it wasn't common with other ammo, but I wouldn't take that one on a Dove hunt.

Personally I'd buy something different, but I shoot a lot of skeet and Dove loads.

I am a big fan of the browning gold. I'd happily take one.

I had one for two years, and used it successfully for deer (rifled slug barrel), upland game (standard barrel), and turkeys (short turkey barrel). Only issue I had with it was that it wouldn't run in cold weather, like below about 15 degrees, no matter what I lubricated it with. I even tried graphite, RemOil, and the Browning silicone spray lubricant, and it would still get slow enough to jam at least occasionally. Loved the feel, fit, finish, and balance of it, though.

I've owned a Browning Gold for about 10 years now. I have the sporting clays edition which has a different piston than the others. It will reliably cycle lighter loads. I've had no trouble with reduced recoil 7/8 oz loads. I've also had no trouble in colder weather. It just keeps chugging along. It is probably the softest shooting shotgun I've ever shot. If I needed another clays gun, I would buy one of these in a heartbeat. Of course, someone else's experience may vary.

Used a Browning Gold in Max4 HD in the duck blind for a few years. I can't remember one gun malfunction and I only cleaned it when it realllllly got wet (maybe a couple times a season). It was the 3" model, but I never felt it was lacking for ducks.

I was expecting issues with the Duratouch coating, but it never materialized. I did drop it in the gravel parking a few times, dinged up the receiver a bit, but the coating is fine.

I'd buy another except I bought a Feather Citori O/U in MODB last year.

They are nice but are hard to find in 20 gauge. They are also discontinued which is a shame because they dropped them in favor of the overpriced eurotrashed Maxis.

I have duck hunted with one for 3 years (3" version) and absolutely love it. It has never failed me. I am however pretty careful about keeping my weapons clean. If it was stolen tomorrow, I would by another one.
