All is Well- By T. Benabe
Date: November 12, 2003
Lets pretend that all is well. That between sitcoms,_
Americans dont swell in comfort. That after work and a_
paycheck, we do see anything beyond our own selfish_
existence. Lets pretend._
_
Lets pretend that there are no police departments raiding_
high schools and holding many innocent children at gun_
point in the name of fighting drugs. While our borders lay_
open for the drug cartels to skip through. Say nothing of_
terrorists and illegals._
_
Lets pretend that an 80 year old woman has not lost her_
farm of 50 years over a $500 tax dispute (property taxes_
are unconstitutional and were non-existent up until 1913)._
And that her life has not been destroyed._
_
Lets pretend that our income is not being taxed (another_
unconstitutional practice that Americans have long fallen_
asleep to) and that the social security benefit age has not_
been again lifted so that our youth wont see a check until_
the age of....will they live that long? _
_
Lets pretend that the money taken (social security) could_
not be better invested by us so as to not only retire, but_
retire wealthy. Never mind that elected officials dont pay_
social security taxes. That they retire with full pay and_
just voted to give themselves a pay raise while we suffer_
to make ends meet._
_
Lets pretend that the United Nations, a body politic headed_
by tyrants and mass murderers, that was established to be_
the head of a world government, is not now acting to_
subvert civil liberties and our constitution. And that some_
of the worlds greatest powers have not aligned themselves_
on every level to defeat the 2nd Amendment by the abuse of_
law, using crime as an excuse to slowly disarm the only_
people they have a chance to, the LAW-ABIDING (think_
again). While over 100 million civilians were murdered by_
their own governments in the last century._
_
Lets pretend that the "assault weapons ban" has something_
to do with crime and not the last line of defense against a_
government that is about to turn criminal._
_
Lets pretend that the two party system really means_
anything other than a body of organized crime figures who_
have made it a law to use guns and kill you in order to_
display their resolve in just about every aspect of_
government affairs (I.R.S. Collection agents are now_
armed)._
_
Lets pretend that Oprah Winfrey is right and that we should_
all hold hands and sing "kumbaya" .That evil and corruption_
is something that can be negotiated, applauded and laughed_
away over a cup of coffee while watching her show ( that_
just never seems to touch the common people, does it_
Oprah?)._
_
Lets pretend that the show "StreetSmarts" is really a joke_
and that most Americans are not really that dumb._
_
Lets pretend that the "Civil Rights Movement" has not_
generated more racial tension than the KKK._
_
Lets pretend that most men dont assume themselves manly by_
sleeping around, having a beer and watching a ballgame with_
their buddies, while never spending much time keeping up on_
politics other than the evening news. That they know what_
it is to truly be a man and to guard the very liberty of_
their own lives, family and country...by being armed and_
gladly embracing the responsability that comes with this_
freedom._
_
Lets pretend that hollywood LEFT celebs who have made a_
fortune by our affection and live a life that we cant_
imagine have not turned in corruption from fame against_
America. And that they really have something to say rather_
than just wanting to hear themselves speak._
_
Lets pretend that the NYC Council really has my best_
interests at heart by passing laws that dictate that I dial_
911 or die in the street rather than defend my life._
_
Lets pretend that the American people are not their own_
worst enemies by allowing themselves to be herded like_
cattle by special interest groups, rather than defend the_
"Bill of Rights" as a whole and ALL of our freedoms (what_
freedom are you against?)._
_
And lets pretend that we have hope of a future by removing_
the idea of God from every public corner, just to appease_
those who dont believe._
_
Lets pretend many things because all is well. Just change_
the channel._
