Besides losing my good spotting scope, giving away my leather shooting jacket (grew out of it but still I loved that coat),and having my rifle rebarreled, now I can't find my log.

Can any one recommend one or should I start making my own again.

Creedmore and Sinclair has them. Pretty cheap.

Everyone has one, it seems, and they are all different. Jim Owens has a pretty good one, but I don't like his "half correction" theory at all, so I have to ignore that part of the log book completely.

Someone recently made a really good on on the FL site, and it is a free dowload. Hold off on buying one...I'll see if I can find this one.

If someone can get me a copy of CorelDraw 4, I can print out my version. I had faint delusions of someday selling it retail...

Problem is, I messed up and saved everything as CD4 format before I left that employer (interesting lunch hours!!!!:) , and I have only Version 3. AFIK, Corel has kept backwards compatibility in all subsequent versions like CorelDraw 8 and up.

Mine has room on each 8-1/2 x 11 page for an 800-point course, and windage diagrams split at the prone SF stage for 500 yards on one side and 600 yards on another. Don't think I have the 1,000-yard windage, but it's not here right now. Windage is for .308 168 SMK.

No instructions in mine. Just plot your calls, note each shot's windage and elevation in SF, for sighters, and before each RF string, and put a number on the target grid for each shot. Works for me.

BTW, you guys know there are some palm pilot programs out there with Highpower data books on them, right?

Only trouble is rain and dirt. I don't like the idea of using a pda in the conditions it would be in.

Steve, that PDA thing sounds quite intriquing. Just do the McDonald's cash register thing and have a heavy plastic cover thingy, like an upgraded PalmGlove (had one once).

I also think the market is ready for a "sports" palm that's waterproof, like the bright yellow tape players of the Walkman variety--20 years ago!

Duckfoot, I'm game for an outright purchase of CoredDraw 4 if you can gitit.:)
