Sorry for nitpicking, but how do you suppose the shotgunner in the pic ejected only one shell - the fired one? ;)

Some over/under shotguns have selective ejectors. I suspect this is one of them.

Agreed, but his appears to be a single ejector plate.

Look close. The ejectors are split, with the bottom ejector raised enough to block your view of the top shell's rim at 5 o'clock. Personally, I think both barrels are appropriate.

You could be right. Getting out the old magnifying glass, it does look like the bottom ejector is raised above the cyclinder face.
