Cool vid. Never seen someone bump a M1A before.

What do you mean by bump?

He is talking about taking a semi and using the recoil to cycle the trigger, making it look like a full auto gun. The video looked like it was actually a real full auto M14.

Heck I can do the same thing with my M14 by simplying pulling the trigger really fast.

Yea, but that kinda defeats the purpose of paying all that money to get a machinegun.:)

Full auto? Hardly. I do much faster rapid firing with my AK or my AR.
I've rapid fire my Garand which is fun. You just rock with it until "PING!" Then you press the arm and start on the next line. No wait a minute, that's a typewriter! :neener:
Oh, yeah..you press in another 8 rounds and then slap the bolt forward.

That muzzle break seems to work pretty well. The barrel hardly rose at all.

Job well done. You must have paid a lot of attention to the editing. So often, we see videos posted that have about one-third of the length being about the subject and the rest is of a wall or someting.

Looks like some dude over heating a barrel to me. To what purpose? To have some fun I suppose. He's not even doing a very good job of "bumping". :neener:
A true M14 doing the rock and roll while the shooter is standing is a site to behold :)
Nice video though.

And AK shooters are often accused of spray and pray.

I thought he was bumping too, but if you watch carefully, it appears he holds his finer on the trigger while it is at his shoulder and I don't see him doing semi-auto. I could be wrong. Looks like someone had some ammo to waste. Then I watched it again and I can't really tell. I think the biggest hint will be at the beginning. I couldn't tell if it had a selector switch or not. Yeah now that I think about it, I can't really tell so much. Sometimes I think he is just doing semi-auto and sometimes I think he is rock and rolling.

I don't see a selector switch. In fact, I don't see a hole even cut for the selector.

That gun is NOT full auto, no way no how. A 14 on rock and roll has a cyclic rate that will blow your mind. Pretty lame bump firing too.

Full auto? Hardly.
Really? Guess I didn't look close enough. When I've tried to bump fire a M1A, it becomes an anti-aircraft gun and so does a sustained burst on a M14. However, I could do 2 and 3 round bursts on an M14 that looked like the guy in the video. Fairly controllable.
