Yes, it would be worth buying if you can get it for a reasonable price.
And the leather is not dried out and cracking.
And whether it fits you so you can wear it.

What that price is would be based on whether you have a use for it or not.

The George Lawrence Company was in business from 1857 until closing in 1985. They were considered one of the better factory makers of the time.

The gun rig shown is a low-cut Hollywood style fast-draw rig with a contour cut belt.

They were popular during the TV western & fast draw craze of the 1950's & 60's. They were a product of the times, and not based on any gun rigs actually used in the old west.

Other companies still make them today.

A brand new rig like that with full basket-weave stamping, from a good maker, would cost 400 - 600 hundred dollars today.

If I was you, I would get a bottle of Camp Dry Leather Lotion and go over it a couple of times to feed the leather.

It will soak in, then dry to a tacky surface.
After which, you can buff off the excess with a soft cloth and leave a nice shine.

Follow that with Kiwi black paste shoe polish to return it to a like new shine.

Do Not use Neatsfoot oil or liquid shoe polish on it.

From Gubroker the Lawrence holsters run from about a hundred dollars to several hundred dollars. The complete rigs are the most valuable of them. I'd advise against doing any refinishing, re-oiling or re-polishing until you know more and are certain you want to use it vs. selling or saving it.

Well, regardless, dry leather is going to become dry cracked leather, and it won't get any better over time if you don't do something to preserve it now.

What I recommended will not harm the value as much as letting it crack any worse.

It was high-polish black when it was new, so Camp Dry or paste shoe polish isn't going to hurt it.
