What are some of the lightest full sized guns?

Please nobody suggest a Glock for me, those are completely out of the picture.

I'm considering a gun for carry that would be lighter than my BHP. Today I was carry it at school along with my pocket gun which is heavy in itself, my wallet, keys/light, Surefire E2E, checkbook, pen, folding knife, extra mag, extra ammo for pocket gun too, change, cell phone....well you get the picture. It was pretty heavy. I hate having to cinch my belt so that I can't breathe.

I was wondering, how does a Walther P99 do as far as weight? Obviously, I'm allowing plastic/polymer frames, just not Glocks. This will be for those times when I want to carry a full size, but have alot of other stuff to carry as well.

Any suggestions are welcome!

I just checked out a Colt XSE LW Commander; for that I think they are claiming 26 oz. The Kimber Tacticals are in that 'hood too, I believe, both 4" and 5" barrels.

No relevant suggestions, but a question popped into my mind.

When the weather turned colder a little while ago, I decided to try a theory I'd been nursing. It was that suspenders could be much more comfortable than having to cinch the belt tight enough to work. Women are lucky in that they have hips (at least the ones I know do), so belts aren't a problem.

Since it was jacket weather, I broke out some suspenders and put a jacket over them. Woooo! Such comfort!

Problem is that there's no way I'm going to wear "normal" suspenders over a shirt nor am I going to wear untucked shirts, and that leads to my question.

Does anybody know of or make undershirt suspenders where the shirt would tuck in and the suspenders would attach through some magical means to the pants?

I wouldn't even mind if the shirts had to be modified to work....

Let's see...USP 45 is 29.63 oz w/o mag & the empty mag is another 1.76 oz. A USP 9 is 28.47 oz w/o mag & the mag is another 1.94 oz. The USPc 45 is 28.04 oz w/o mag & the mag is another 3.07 oz empty. The USPc 9 is 26.46 oz w/o mag & the mag is another 2.92 oz. empty.

Copied that straight from the manuals ;) Hope it helps

My .45 commander wieghs less than my 9mm HP... UNTIL you load them.

Then seem to be equally heavy.

I've never owned a polymer framed gun.
