I have wanted one of these rifles for a while, but I have been having a hard time finding information on them.

I would be a getting one of the nice Chzechpoint ones, not century garbage. I trust it to run reliably, but how's the accuracy?

Anyone?

It's accuracy exceeds human requirements.

I get between 2 and 3 MOA @ 100 yards. My only regret with CZ vz58 is that I waited so long to order one. It is my favorite rifle of allmy AKs and AR.

You guys know if the vz58 uses the same rear sight mount as the vz24? Scout Scopes makes what are very well-reviewed mounts for the vz58 and I'd love to get one I knew would work for my old vz24...

The vz24 is a bolt action Mauser; between it and the vz58 the issue rifle was the vz52. None of them have the same sights.

Zoom; thanks for the info! Do you know if the VZ-24 shared rear sight mounts with any other rifle? If so, do these have scout mounts available? Thanks!

Hmm, is that 2-3MOA with average ammo or reloads? Thanks.

I will probably end up with an aimpoint on it not trying to be a sniper or anything, but I hate inaccurate bullet hose rifles like my brother's commie milsurps. I would like a gun that will shoot 2MOA if possible.

You should get a consistent sub 3 MoA using 28.5 grains of VV N120 under a 123 grain FMJ. The sights are good, the parts are not interchangeable with any of the AK variants.

Cz also has a civillian version called the Cz 858 which are NIB, dont know if they are available in the US.

Cool, I assume that's using the iron sights?

Yes iron sights @100 meters. S&B brass, S&B bullet, VV N120 and CCI LR primers.

CZ is presently in the last stages of developing a siderail scope mount

AND a peepsight which fits into the trunnions of the existing iron sight.

For an incredible amount of information on very nearly any CZ,

Go to www.czforumsite.info

And, yes they are extremely accurate and reliable.

I was impressed with the one I got to shoot. Lighter than my Polytech, WAY more accurate than a Mini30 I was testing at the time. It's on my 'to get' list.

I like what I hear, just the whole 800 dollar price tag :D

How bad is the cheek weld on that wire folding stock? I am considering that instead of the sporter, and maybe just modifying it to be more ergonomic.

Weirdly enough, cheekweld on a stock 58 with

A factory folder and iron sights is right

The f on.

Get a bunch of gun-bling and a scope, and you are on your own.

I can already hear Armoredman hollering at me..........

thbbbpt!
:)

I dressed mine up because I could - I got the Sport setup with the poly stock and loved it, but finally found a rifle I deemed worthy of full upgrading.

This is the day I got it...

...and today. :)

I had a factory folder on there for a while, (still have it), and it is OK, but I would wrap it with paracord to use it again. Good solid stock, easy to use, but I really like this rising cheekpiece one I have from Zahal.

It hits what I shoot at, and the EOTech makes it even easier. I love shooting this rifle, best purchase in a rifle I have made in a very very long time.

Yes, it's a Czechpoint/CZ-USA rifle, NOT a Century re-work.

That 2 -3 MOA is with Golden Tiger ammo, but I replaced the open sight that came with the rifle, with a home made peep sight.
